
![]() JUDY MEYLER - Artist, oil painter Judy works exclusively in oil paints with her subject work being representational, yet somewhat loose. Her subject matter ranges from portraiture (specializing in children and animals), to still lifes, landscapes and city scenes. Candid photographs are a particular favorite of hers, as well as working from life. Judy began painting as a child and has continued her studies at both North Carolina A&T State University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has also studied locally with Chuck McLachlan and Connie Logan, as well as with Daniel Greene, John Lines, Ann Templeton, Anita Louise West, Dee Beard Dean, and Connie Winters in France. She has recently been accepted into the POPS plein air group. They paint on location in the surrounding areas including some of North Carolina's Land Conservatory regions. Meyler has received several awards for her works, in addition to a piece being purchased by North Carolina A&T State University for their permanent collection. In addition to her work in oils, Judy has taught several classes for children and continuing education classes at Guilford Technical Community College and at TwoArt Chicks in drawing and painting. Judy has a background in commercial art, specializing in line illustration and has painted several murals n the Piedmont area. She has completed a North Carolina themed mural at Guilford Day School's Media Center, as well as an Old Testament themed mural at Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Greensboro. Judy resides in Greensboro with her husband John and their three children, Scott, Allyson and Eric. She maintains her studio at TwoArt Chicks amd continues to be represented by area galleries and enters regional exhibitions. |
